Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HCM Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The HCM Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets. This role requires a strong technical background in project management and excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, with a strong focus on client service.
Your duties will include:
- Create project plans, including deliverables, activities, timelines, and budgets
- Direct day-to-day activities of projects and staff in a matrixed organization
- Ensure milestones are successfully met through oversight of project vehicles and coordination of resources
- Work collaboratively with other departments impacting the project
- Lead communication with stakeholders and team members through the completion of the project
- Provide scheduled and on-demand status reports and updates
- Direct project timelines and budgets
- Assess, manage, resolve, and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues
- Tailor processes to meet the needs of individual projects
- Make decisions based on information and input promptly
- Work on projects of high complexity
- Coordinates the turnover of clients to the service organizations once the project is complete to ensure a smooth transition
- Provides all documentation necessary for the ongoing support of the client on the new product release
- Establishes a list of open issues and assigns responsibility for completion of those Issues
- Assists management in identifying opportunities for process improvements as well as new opportunities.
- Takes part in training and mentoring team members where needed to expand the skill sets of our internal team.
- Provides all team members with immediate feedback on their performance.
- Submits Project Evaluations completely and timely and provides management with input for the completion of performance appraisals
- Other job duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
- At least 3+ years of project management experience
- Payroll and/or Human Resources industry knowledge
- iSolved experience preferred
- Salesforce experience preferred
Skills:
- Experience with project management tools and structured methodologies
- Knowledge of the functional area and related company services
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Expertise with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Visio
- Commitment to being accountable for results
- Capacity for building relationships both internally and externally
- Strong focus on client service
- Ability to think independently and make decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach to work
- Capacity to effectively manage a team
Certificates and Licenses:
- PMP or equivalent professional project management certification
